The Lake and Lots of Pictures

Last week we headed to the lake for a little down time. 

Traveling with toddlers can be stressful, but we made it in one piece and had a great time.  We spent the first couple of nights at a lakeside resort.  We swam, played in the toddler pools and roasted marshmallows by the campfire.

But my kids' favorite activity?  Throwing rocks in the lake.  Also the only time I wasn't too busy taking care of kids to take a few pictures.

After the hotel we headed to my parents' house for a couple of nights.  While we were there we celebrated the big man's second birthday.

We were still at the lake so we did a fish theme. My mom made the cake.  So cute!

Ode to Two

Two is happy,
Two is fun,
Two is always on the run.

Two is busy,
Two makes messes,
Sometimes Two likes wearing dresses.

Two likes cars and trains and sand,
Two still likes to hold my hand.

Two can dance and pray and sing,
Two's not afraid of anything.

Two is silly,
Two laughs out loud,
Two draws attention in a crowd.

Two is little,
Two is great,
Thank God for Two!
